Ashley Caldwell, CNM
Ashley was born and raised in the Bay Area of Northern California, but has spent most of her life in central Oklahoma. After receiving a Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2009, Ashley attended nursing school at Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City and graduated with her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2011. She then completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2014.
She has always been drawn to labor and birth, especially after having her first child. After working for several years as a neonatal intensive care nurse, Ashley decided to become a labor and delivery nurse after the birth of her twins. In addition to working on a labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum unit for several years, Ashley has also taught childbirth classes and has been an adjunct clinical instructor for a nursing program in Oklahoma City.
Ashley fell in love with the midwifery model of care because it centers care around the woman and views labor and birth as a normal physiologic process. Her passion is to be “with woman” by educating, empowering, and supporting women through their labor and birth experience and women’s healthcare needs. Ashley attended Frontier Nursing University’s Nurse-Midwifery program and graduated with a Masters of Science in Nursing. She became a Certified Nurse-Midwife in June of 2018.
Ashley enjoys swimming, reading, relaxing with a cup of coffee, and spending time with her husband and three sons. She is excited to begin her midwifery career with MomDoc and serve the women of Arizona!
