Grayson Guzman, MD
Grayson J. Guzman, MD, FACOG is the supporting OB/GYN physician for MomDoc Midwives in Gilbert, an OB/CNM collaborative practice, which emphasizes that high-touch care and empathy should be at the forefront of providing women's health care.
Dr. Guzman is originally from the Midwest. The son of two obstetrician/gynecologists with more than 80 years combined experience, he has followed in their footsteps in devoting his life to the betterment of women’s health. However, he has departed from traditional maternity and women's health care and has progressed in evolving his practice patterns to include caring collaboratively for clients of the home birth midwifery community and patients of his certified nurse midwife partners.

He attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology as well as his Doctor of Medicine degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He then completed his residency training in obstetrics, gynecology and women’s health at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. His training encompassed extensive management of both routine and high-risk pregnancies as well as advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, and global endometrial ablations. During his residency training, Dr. Guzman earned several awards for excellence in medical student education and was honored with the Donald W. Cowherd, MD Award for three consecutive years as well as the Saint Louis University Hospitals Resident Educator of the Year in 2006. He continues to remain involved in medical student education and participates in preceptorships.

He is committed to offering state-of-the-art techniques in women's health services. Toward that end, Dr. Guzman has been certified as a minimally invasive da Vinci® robotic surgeon and proctor. He offers this surgical modality for advanced gynecologic laparoscopic procedures.

Dr. Guzman is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

During his 12 years as a private practice generalist in the East Valley, he has remained active in leadership positions within health care. He has served on numerous medical staff committees at multiple facilities. Also, he currently serves as a volunteer site visit reviewer for the Arizona Perinatal Trust, has been elected as President of the Board of Directors of the Arizona Perinatal Regional System, Inc. and also has been appointed as the Vice Chairman for the OB/GYN Department at Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Guzman enjoys traveling with his wife Kara, spending time with their energetic three children: twin boys Griffin and Gavin, daughter Evianna, and a baby girl, Quinn and their 8-year-old poodle Hannah.
